Delete your account
You can ask us to close your RWA Connect 360 account and delete your personal data. This page explains exactly what happens, what we must keep, and how long it takes.
How to request deletion
If you can sign in, the quickest way is from your account:
Settings → Privacy → Submit erasure request
The mobile app offers the same request from its Privacy screen. Both send it to the same place.
If you can no longer sign in, email our Grievance Officer from the address on your account, or include your registered mobile number so we can identify you:
We respond within 30 days, as required by Section 13(2) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Deletion is carried out by a person, not automatically, so that we can confirm it is really you asking.
What we delete
- Your name
- Replaced with an anonymous placeholder.
- Your email address
- Replaced with a non-routable placeholder.
- Your mobile number
- Cleared.
- Your profile photo
- Cleared.
- Your identity and ownership documents
- Government ID and ownership-proof uploads are cleared.
- Your links to flats or units
- Deleted outright, so you no longer appear in any society's directory.
- Your details inside past receipts
- Redacted in place. The receipt document itself is regenerated from the redacted record.
What we must keep, and why
We cannot delete everything. Indian law requires us to retain some financial records even after you leave, and we would rather tell you now than surprise you later.
- Payment receipts, for 8 years
- Required by Income Tax Rule 6F. Your personal details inside them are redacted, but the financial record itself must survive.
- Payment and fee records
- So receipts already issued to you, and your society's accounts, remain valid and auditable.
- A disabled, anonymised account record
- Your account is closed and anonymised rather than erased from the database, so the audit trail of what happened to your data stays intact. This is required by the DPDP Act's own accountability provisions — including the record of this deletion.
After deletion
You will no longer be able to sign in, and you will be removed from your society's resident directory. If you later want to use RWA Connect 360 again, you will need to register from scratch and be approved by your society's admin.
Deleting your RWA Connect 360 account does not cancel any dues you owe your society. Those are owed to the society itself, not to us.
