Approve or reject a resident
How a society admin approves a new resident — and sees exactly what they will be charged first — or rejects them with a reason.
Updated
Nobody can use the app for your society until you approve them. Before you approve, the app shows what the resident will be charged.
Find who is waiting
- Open Residents.
- In the status filter, choose Approval pending.
Your Dashboard counts them under Pending Approvals.
Approve
- Press the person's name to open their profile.
- Check their flat and their details.
- Press Approve in the yellow box Awaiting your approval. The Approve button in the Residents list opens the same box.
- Read the box Approve Registration. It shows the Joining fee, the Pro-rata charge for the part of this period that is left, and the Total due. It also says if they still owe money from before.
- Press Confirm Approval.
They can use the app at once, and they are told by WhatsApp or email. Their status becomes Active, or Fee pending until they pay. Someone who still owes on an older bill may show Fee overdue.
There is no undo for an approval. If it was a mistake, deactivate them from their profile.
Reject
- Open their profile and press Reject.
- Type a Reason of at least 5 characters. The resident is sent this reason.
- Press Reject in the box.
They show as Not approved. If the reason is something they can fix, they can register again.
What each status means
Every status, and what to do about it, is on resident statuses.
