Pay maintenance by UPI and confirm it with the UTR
Pay your society's maintenance from any UPI app, then send the payment's UTR number so your society admin can confirm it. Step by step.
Updated
When your society collects maintenance by UPI, the money goes from your UPI app straight to the society's account, with no extra charge. Then you tell your society admin which payment it was, using its UTR number, and they confirm it.
Pay
- Sign in and open Payments.
- Find the bill and press Pay. The Pay fee page shows what you owe.
- Under Pay by UPI, pay exactly the amount shown, in whichever way suits you.
On a phone, the button that pays the amount via UPI app opens your UPI app with the amount filled in. Or press Copy UPI ID and pay that UPI ID from any UPI app. Or open Or scan a QR code and scan it with another phone.
Confirm your payment
- Back on Pay fee, press I've paid — confirm payment.
- Type the payment's UTR number in UTR / Transaction ID. Your UPI app shows it in the payment's details — in Google Pay, under History. It has 10 or more letters and numbers.
- Check Payment date and Amount paid.
- If you like, press Upload screenshot and add a screenshot of the payment. PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2 MB.
- Press Submit for verification.
What happens next
Under Payment Claims, your bill shows the claim as PENDING, and the Pay button goes away while you wait. Your society admin checks the payment against the society's bank account.
- If they confirm it, the claim shows VERIFIED, the bill is paid, and your receipt appears under Payments.
- If they reject it, the claim shows REJECTED with their reason. Fix what the reason says, then press Re-submit.
Messages you might see
- "You already have a pending claim for this fee" — your first claim is still waiting. Let your admin check it.
- "This UTR has already been used" — check that you typed this payment's own UTR.
- "UTR must be at least 10 characters" — copy the full number from your UPI app.
- "Your society hasn't set up payments yet" — your society has not added a UPI ID or QR code. Ask your committee how to pay. Your dues are not affected meanwhile.
